This is my first tattoo. It’s a line drawing of Alfred Hitchcock’s silhouette from “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” located on the side of my right thigh. Long story short, I love Hitchcock and mystery/thrillers in general.
Done as a walk-in by Travis French (tfrenchtattoo@gmail.com) at Big Mojo Tattoo in Indiana, PA. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better or friendlier.

This tattoo is based on Sleeping Giant, a mountain in CT where I spent so much of my time when I was young. The tattoo doesn’t exactly match the mountain range because my tattoo is a replica of a drawing from when I was about eight after a day of hiking the mountain with my parents. Now that I’ve moved away from home, I can look down and always think of my family and my wonderful childhood spent climbing Sleeping Giant and always be happy.
Thanks to Ross Hallam (visiting from South Africa) at Star Crossed Tattoos in Hong Kong for doing such a rad job

SECRET BELGIAN BOOK BINDING INSTRUCTIONS
“These instructions show you how to bind a book with an interesting pattern of weaving which laces the front and back covers to the spine. Included is the sewing of the text block (a set of four signatures) which is attached to the inside spine of the cover.
The secret is in the weave of the cover and in attaching the text block. It is not difficult to do but requires patience in getting the threads taut so that the book does not wobble.
Hedi Kyle rediscovered this binding attributed to the Belgians and she solved the mystery of how to make it.”

beautiful!
The latest pages from my latest painted book.
Top page reads, “lovely, lovely, lovely, lonely.”
Bottom page reads, “I’ve discovered that I have the gift to feel at home. Just about anywhere.”
